cindy and sarah leave from the same place.
Cindy walks due west while sara walks in a direction of 330 degrees T.
When sarah has walked 6km she is due north from cindy.
how far north is Sarah from cindy.
:
Cindy walks west which is 270 degrees, therefore the angle between them
330 - 270 = 60 degrees and a right triangle is formed
Side opposite (s) of 60 degrees is dist north to Sarah, hypotenuse is 6 km
sin(60) =
s = 6 * sin(60)
s = 5.2 km is Sarah north of Cindy
