I did each question two different ways and different answers by using the notes I got. Thanks

The answer to the first question is  7*6 = 42 ways.


Notice that in this case THE ORDER DOES MATTER, so we use the permutation formula.




The answer to the second question is   =  = 35.

Notice that in this case THE ORDER DOES NOT MATTER, so the combinations work in this case.
