Question 113222: The length of a rectangle storage room is 4 feet longer than its width. If the area of the room is 60 square feet, find its dimensions
Answer by SHUgrad05(58)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Area=l*w
60=l*w
we know the length=w+4
So: (w+4)*w=60
w^2+4w-60=0 ->factor
(w-6)(w+10)=0 ->solve
w=6
w=-10
width=6ft
length= w+4=10ft
