Question 1121091: You are a data entry and control supervisor. To reach your production objectives, you hire two clerks on a temporary basis and assign them to data entry at $10 an hour, eight hours a day.
If each employee can produce 50 entries a day, what would be the total cost to produce 500 entries?

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
each clerk earns 10 dollars an hour and works 8 hours a day.

each of these clerks can produce 50 entries a day.

50 / 8 = 6.25 entries an hour for each clerk.

when they work together, they make a combined 20 dollars an hour and can produce 12.5 entries for each hour.

500 / 12.5 = 40 hours.

40 hours * 20 dollars an hour = 800 dollars.

the total cost to produce 500 entries is 800 dollars.
