Question 1120675: The exponential function given by H(t)=80,034.57(1.0487)^t, where t is the number of years after 2010, can be used to project the number of centenarians in a certain country. Use this function to project the centenarian population in this country in 2014 and in 2042. Round to the nearest whole number.
I'm thinking that I would I substitute t for 4 and then t for 12. If that is correct I believe the population for 2014 will be 96,802 and for 2042 it will be 141,610. Am I right?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For 2014, yes, use 4 for t and 96,802 is correct
Use t=32 for 2042, and the answer is 366,537.
