let x = amt she had at first
x - 62 - (x-62) = 70
x - (x-62) = 70 + 62
x - (x-62) = 132
multiply equation by 4, to get rid of the denominator
4x -3(x-62) = 4(132)
4x - 3x + 186 = 528
x = 528 - 186
x = $342 is amt she had at first
