0.10d + 0.25q = 8.5
substitute for d:
0.10(q+15) + 0.25q = 8.5
0.10q + 1.5 + 0.25q = 8.5
0.35q = 7
q = 20 there are 20 quarters and
d = q + 15 = 20 + 15 = 35
