how many were in each box at first.
A = 52 I worked that out same as book
D=57 I worked that out same as book
B =book says 48 me 42
C=book says 3 me 9

2/3(b+12)=40
2(b+12)=120
b+12=60
b=48
1/3(48+12)+17+c=40
60/3+17+c=40
37+c=40
c=3
