Let x be the number of children tickets.


Then the number of adults tickets is 2x, according to the condition.


The money equation is

8*(2x) + 4x = 160   dollars.

16x + 4x = 160  ====>  20x = 160  ====>  x =  = 8.


Answer.  8 children tickets and 8*2 = 16 adults tickets.


Check.   8*4 + 16*8 = 160 dollars.   ! Correct !
