Problem 1: The score S on a Math 012 test varies directly as the number of correct responses N. Jules answers 29 questions correctly and earns a score of 87. What would Jules’ score have been if he had answered 25 questions correctly
Problem 2: Jules plans to put her graduation money into an account and leave it there for 4 years while he goes to college. He receives $1100 in graduation money that he puts it into an account that earns 3.75% interest compounded semi-annually. How much will be in Jules account at the end of four years?
Problem 3: The intensity of light (in foot-candle) varies inversely as the square of the distance (in feet) from the light source. The intensity of light 3 feet from the source is 72 foot-candles. How far away is the source if the intensity of light is 2 foot-candles
