US interstate highway's post numbered markers every mile: 1, 1+1, 2+1, 3+1 ect, every consecutive mile goes up by 1.
The sum of 2 consecutive mile markers is 459. What are the numbers:
Let the smaller number be x. Then, the larger number will be x+1. Then,
x+x+1 = 459
2x = 458
