The question is incomplete. The answer choices are missing. Also, the problem doesn't state what x should be or what y should be. However it seems like it should be this

x = amount of time spent reading
y = amount of time watching tv

which of course is an assumption that may be wrong. Let me know if it is or not. Thank you.
