The shopkeeper paid a 20% discount, or 80% of the printed price. So:
i)VAT paid by shopkeeper=.8 x 18000=14400 x .08= rs. 1152
ii)Price paid by customer=18000 x 1.08= rs. 19440 ☺☺☺☺
