ASSUMPTION: The driveway is part of the square lot. The house area and the driveway area compose the entire square lot.

Area of the lot, 100%5E2=10000 square feet.

Uniform width of driveway, w.

Area which just the house covers, %28100-w%29%28100-2w%29; a picture will help you to see this.

The only parts of this lot area are HOUSE and DRIVEWAY; and if house area and driveway areas are equal, then each of them is equal to 10000%2F2=5000%2AsquareFeet. Just the whole entire area cut in half.
