Question 1058729: A pizza restaurant produces 100 pizzas per day. Pizzas are 16" in diameter. The cans of tomato sauce used cover 4 sq. ft. Determine number of cans used per day.
My attempt:
Area of pizza = area of circle; pi * r^2
= 3.1416 * 8 * 8 = 201.624 = 201 sq. in.
Sq. ft. = 144 sq. in.
201 / 144 = 1.395 sq. ft.
1.395 * 100 = 139.5 sq. ft.
139.5 / 4 = 34.875 = 35 cans
Where am I incorrect ?
