Assuming the ring and ear rings are all of the jewelry she bought:
If the bag was 1/3, then the rest of the money was 2/3: 1/3+2/3 = (1+2)/3 = 3/3 = 1
:
2/3+540 = x
2/3 = x-540
2/3-x = -540
-x = -540*3/2
-x = -810 multiply both sides time -1
x = 810 is the total money she had.
810-540 = 270 is how much she had after she bought the bag
270*3/4 = 202.50 is how much she spent on the jewelry
270-202.5 = 67.50 is how much she saved
