Question 1033089: Can you help me solve this? A doctor prescribes 500mg of drug "P" for a little boy. The boy is 36 months old, weighs 33 pounds and is 33 inches tall. Using this formula what is the dose? BSA= {(inches* pounds) divided by 3131}* 1/2.

Inches = 33
Pounds = 33
BSA= {(inches* pounds) divided by 3131}* 1/2.
BSA= {(33 * 33) divided by 3131}* 1/2.
BSA = {(1089) divided by 3131} * 1/2
BSA = {0.3478} * 1/2
BSA = 0.1739 (4 decimal places)
