Answer by jorel555(1290) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When we start, Charlotte has 6 nuts out of every 13, Lydia has 7. When we finish adding and subtracting nuts, our ratio should be 9:17, thus:
6x-36/7x+36=9/17
63x+324=102x-612
39x=936
x=24
Lydia had 7x nuts to begin with, or 168 nuts!!!!!!!
