Question 1023689: Anne bought 20 pens and Jo bought 30 pens. Each pen costs the same amount, and the pens cost $75 altogether. How much did Jo pay for her pens?
Answer by Emilym1234(10) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First, you need to divide $75 by the 50 pens.
Then, you get $1.50 per pen
Jo bought 30 pens, so 30 x $1.50 = $45.
Jo spent $45 on her 30 pens.
To check, add Anne's cost of Pens ($30)
Add them up, and they're $75 together
Hope this helped ;)
