Question 1022673: Bethany is working her way through school. She works two part-time jobs for a total of 27 hours a week. Job A pays $5.70 per hour, and Job B pays $6.70 per hour. How many hours did she work at each job the week that she made $162.90.
Answer by robertb(5830) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5.70x + 6.70(27 - x) = 162.90
==>5.70x - 6.70 = 162.90 - 6.70*27
==> -x = -18
==> x = 18
Therefore he worked 18 hours in the $5.70/hr job and 9 hours in the $6.70/hr job.
