i think 1.5 meters square slab might be it.
10.5 / 1.5 = 7
3 / 1.5 = 2
number of slabs required would be 14.
what you are looking for is something that has to divide evenly into 3 and also divide evenly into 10.5
it will more than likely be something that is a multiple of .5.
that something would have to be able to divide into 3 evenly and also divide into 10.5 evenly.
candidates would be .5, 1.5, 3.0
1.0 is no good because it doesn't divide into 10.5 evenly.
2.0 and 2.5 are no good because they don't devide into either 3.0 or 10.5 evenly.
looks like .5 and 1.5 are the candidates that divide evenly into both 10.5 and 3.0.
1.5 is the best bet since it will result in the smallest number of square blocks.
the number of 1.5 meter square blocks required would be 14.
there would be 2 rows of 7 blocks each.
each block is 1.5 by 1.5 for an area of 2.25.
14 * 2.25 = 31.5 square meters.
this is the same as the area that needs to be covered, which is 10.5 * 3.0 = 31.5 square meters.
