Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(amount of salt)/(amount of water) = (amount of salt)/(amount of water)
(3.3 grams of salt)/(1000 mL of water) = (x grams of salt)/(4 L of water)
(3.3 grams of salt)/(1000 mL of water) = (x grams of salt)/(4000 mL of water)
3.3/1000 = x/4000
3.3*4000 = 1000x
13200 = 1000x
1000x = 13200
x = 13200/1000
x = 13.2

There are 13.2 grams of salt in 4 liters of sea water
