let length be x
width = 3x/4
increased by 2 cm
length (x+2)
width = (3x/4 +2)
2(x+2+3x/4 +2) = 50
/2
x+3x/4 +4 = 25
x+3x/4 =21
7x/4 = 21
7x = 4*21
x = 4*21/7
x=12
length = 12 cm
width = 9cm
