You already know that the number may be 9 or negative 9. What kind of number is or are these?
9 and -9 are:
Numbers we count with;
are not attached to fragments of numbers we count with;
are numbers we use for counting and are on either side of 0 on the number line;
can be written or expressed as one integer divided by another integer leaving no remainder;
and certainly NO approximation needed when finding sqrt(81) and we use simply a basic number fact.
