Question 979624: What is the formula for the following question: you have a rectangular backyard with a length of 55 yards and a width of 20 yards. You want to place a tiki torch every 5 yards around the edge of your backyard. How many torches do you need? I have already tried graphing the question and counting it, with and without counting corners. I have also tried dividing each of these numbers by five, adding it up, and multiplying it by two.
