60 feet wide is the diameter of the semicircle, and its semi-circumference is 30 pi feet. The circumference of the whole circle is pi*D=60 pi.
There are two ends, however, so that the inside turns are 60*pi feet in length. This is subtracted from 5280 feet and divided by two for each side, and that makes a track that has two sides,each 2451.50 feet, and two turns, each measuring 188.5 feet. That is 377 + 4903 =5280 feet.
