The length of each side of a square is made smaller by 4 inches. If the area of the resulting square is 25 square inches, determine the length of a side of the original square.

Area of smaller square = 25 sq in (given)
Therefore side of the smaller square =  inches.
Since each side of the original larger square was reduced by 4 inches,
the side of the larger square must be  inches.
