Question 940674: a rectangular floor measures 6m by 8m. It is lined with bricks each 20cm long placed end to end long each side. How many bricks are there around the edge of the floor?

Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
total perimeter = 2(L+W) = 2(6m + 8m) = 2*14m = 28m
convert to cm (100 cm/m):
28m * 100cm/m = 2800cm
Compute number of 20 cm bricks:
2800 cm/(20 cm/brick)=140 bricks
