By Pythagoras Theorem
(x+3)^2+(x+1)^2=(2x)^2

x^2+6x+9+x^2+2x+1=4x^2
2x^2+8x+10=4x^2
2x^2-8x-10=0
/2
x^2-4x-5=0
x^2-5x+x-5=0
x(x-5)+1(x-5)=0
(x-5)(x+1)=0
x= 5 OR x=-1
ignore negative
x= 5
