If the hypotenuse is 100 feet longer than the other leg, please find the perimeter of the garden. What I have done is use the Pythagorean theorem but I kept getting a no solution type of answer where x was cancelled out and all that was left was a very high number.

c=100+a
(100+a)(100+a)=a^2+452^2
10000+100a+100a+a^2=a^2+452^2
10000+200a=204304
200a=194304
a=971.52
c=1071.52
p=a+b+c
p=452+971.52+1071.52
p=2495.04
