the sides of a triangle can be represented by three consecutive odd integers.
x, (x+2), (x+4)
:
if the first side is doubled and the third side is increased by 3,
2x = the 1st side
(x+7) = the 3rd side
:
the triangle will be isosceles. find the perimeter of the isosceles triangle.
It has to be the 1st and 3rd sides that are equal
2x = x + 7
x = 7
then
sides are
14 + 9 + 14 = 37
