Question 885811: find the distance traveled by a point on the edge of a tire with radius 18 inches if it is rolled in a straight line for 90 turns?

First find the circumference of the wheel.
r=18
2(pi)r^2==2(pi)18^2=2(pi)324=pi648->circumference
Now for distance traveled per turn is
pi648(90)=pi58320 inches
about 183217.684 inches
