To eliminate the fraction , multiply both sides by the reciprocal of the fraction which is .

Did you notice that 44 divides into 132 exactly 3 times? That may make the calculation easier. Or just use a calculator. It comes out to an even 7*3= 21 yards.

circumference of the circle = c = 132 yds
radius of the circle = r = ?

c = 2.pi.r
132 = 2.22.r/7
132.7 = 44.r or r = 132.7/44 = 3.7 = 21 yds
radius of the circle = 21 yds
