You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter of a triangle is just the sum of the three sides. So, add up the sides:
x +3x +3x+2= 37
7x + 2 = 37
7x= 35
x= 5
3x = 15
3x+2 = 17

Check: 5 + 15+ 17 = 37 It checks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the sides of a triangle are represented by x , 3x and 3x+2 find each side if the perimeter is 37
Let the first side of the triangle = a = x
the second side of the triangle = b = 3x
the third side of the triangle = c = 3x+2
perimeter of the triangle = p = 37
p = sum of all the three sides of the triangle
p = a+b+c
37 = x+3x+3x+2
37 = 7x+2
37-2 = 7x
35 = 7x or x= 35/7 = 5
therefore the sides of the triangle are, first side = a = 5
second side = b = 3.5 = 15
third side = c =3.5+2 = 17.
