Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The measure of an angle is 2/3 the measure of its supplement. Find the measure of the angle and its supplement.
--------------
Let the angle be "x"; its supplement is "180-x".
EQUATION:
x = (2/3)(180-x)
x = 120-(2/3)x
(5/3)x = 120
x = 120(3/5)
x = 72 degrees (one of the angles)
180-x = 108 degrees (the other angle)
