Width = W
We know that length is 5 feet less than twice the width. So, L=2W-5
Perimeter is equal to the value of all four sides.
So, W+W+(2W-5)+(2W-5)=230 ft
2W+2(2W-5)=230
2W+4W-10=230
6W-10=230
6W-10+10=230+10
6W=240

L=2(40)-5
