Question 854609: OK, so the question is, "A cylinder has a total volume of 154.34 cubic feet. If the cylinder is 9 feet tall, what is the diameter of the circular base?" The problem is, I can't find the diameter. Is there anyway you could help me with this problem?
Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
v=pi*r^2*h
153.34=3.14*r^2*9
153.34 = 28.26 r^2
r = 2.32939
the only unknown is the radius r
solve for
the diameter is twice the radius
d=2r
