How long is a rectangular plot whose length is 9 feet greater than its width and whose perimeter is 94 feet?
---------------------
Let width be "x" ft.
Then length is "x+9" ft
---------------
Perimeter = 2(width + length)
94 = 2(x + x+9)
47 = 2x+9
2x = 38
x=19
Length = 19=9 = 28 inches
