Imagine the 2.5 inch side with a cut degree cut, such that this cut starts from a corner where the 14 inch side and 2.5 inch side meet, and ends through a point on the 14 inch side. DRAW this.


If this equation makes sense to you, then you're all set.
y is the point along the 14 inch side where the cut would be finished.
