Question 809047: A rectangle is 3 times as long as it is wide, and its perimeter is 80 cm. Find its dimensions.
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = 3x
Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
80cm = 2(3x) + 2(x)
80 cm = 6x + 2x
8x = 80cm
x = 10cm
Width = 10cm
Length = 30cm
Hope this helps.
