The equation: 2(x-2)=x+3
First step in solving: 2x-2=x+3
Write a clear explination of what error has been made. what could be done to avoid this error..

the 2(x-2) means everything inside is to be multiplied by the outer number, the lefthand 2.

Multiplying it out gives 2x - 4.

As for doing something to get it right, well, sorry...learn the process, practice it and don't make silly mistakes :-)
