Question 774227: the diagonal of a square field is 90 m. what is its area?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is a right angled triangle
with vertical side = base side.
The diagonal = hypotenuse = 90m
90^2 = 8100 This is the total of
the two side squares.
8100/2 = 4050
Both side squares equal one
another
Square root of 4050 = 63.62m
This is the side measurement.
Area = Vertical side * base side
Area = 4050.1m^2
Hope this helps.
