The flagpole, shadow, and a line from the far end (tip) of the shadow to the top of the flag form a 30-60-90 triangle. The side lengths of such a triangle are always in the same proportions.


Opposite 30 : x


Opposite 90: 2x


Opposite 60 :


The shadow is opposite the 30 degree angle. We know the shadow is 25 feet long. x = 25 feet. That means the flag pole height, which is opposite the 60 degree angle, is feet long.
