Question 747078: if the perimeter of a field is 266 ft and the length is 43 foot longer than the width what are the dimensions
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Perimeter = 2 x length + 2 x width
length = (x + 43) width = x
Perimeter => 2(x + 43) + 2x = 266
=> 4x + 86 = 266
4x = 266 - 86
4x = 180
x = 45
Therefore length = 88 ft
width = 45 ft
