Question 722403: Three sides of a right triangle are labeled as x-2, x+5 and x+6. I need to find X. I used the Pythagorean theorem and after all my calculations I came to x=6. However, when I put it back into the theorem it does not add up. I am concerned I am doing something wrong in the algebra part of this equation. Can you help?
