Substitute 36 for x in -.002x^2 + .35x and see if h is less than 8 ft
:
h = -.002(36^2) + .35(36)
h = -.002(1296) + 12.62
h = - 2.592 + 12.62
h = 10.028 ft, so it will clear the top of the goal by a couple feet.
