Question 631410: I need to find the length DE to the nearest hundreth of a foot and DE is 18 feet
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you already found it.
if DE is equal to 18 feet, then that's already been answered to the 100th of a foot.
if you want, you can show it at 18.00 feet but that's not necessary.
the only time you need to round is if your answer has more than 2 decimal places in it.
assume the lengthy of DE was 18.429 feet.
then you would round to 18.23 in order to get to the nearest hundredth foot which is 2 decimal places.
you answer, if you didn't round it previously, is already rounded to the nearest hundredth of a foot.
