Answer by wilft1(217)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
lets find out the lengths of the sides, find the square root of 118, which is roughly 10.86 meters so, multiply that by 4 and that will give you the area, 10.86 x 4 gives you... 43.44 meters. lemme find how much a decimetere is real quick.... ok, its 1/10th of a meter, soooo, same thing
square root of 81 is 9, so 9x4 is 36, so that would make 36 decimeters worth of fencing
now that i'm reading the question again, looks like you meant square field with area of 118 sq meters and 81 sq decimeters, meaning the same area, sooo, that can equate to 126.1 sq meters, soooo, same thing, square root of 126.1 is 11.22, multiply that by 4 for all four sides, to get 44.88 meters worth of fence
