A rectangular bin 4ft long 3 ft wide and 2 ft high, it's solidly packed with bricks whose dimension are 8 in, 4 in,and 2 in.
The number of bricks in the bin is?
:
Find vol of the bin in cu/inches because the vol of the bricks are in cu/inches
48 * 36 * 24 = 41472 cu/inches
:
Find the vol of one brick
8 * 4 * 2 = 64 cu/inches
:
Find the number of bricks in the bin
= 648 bricks
