a)If $80 is estimated to be the average fuels cost (f), and the monthly hanger rental is $5000; write an equation for the cost, C, in terms of x.
My answer is cx=4/10 x^2 -80+5000
b)What is the cost when 40 flight excursions are sold in a month????
c)How many flight excursions must be sold in order to minimize the cost? Show your work algebraically.
d)What is the minimum cost?

You missed it by that much. Your second term, the one that depends on the average fuel cost, has to have an in it. After all, that makes sense since the more frequently you fly, the more fuel you use, right?
